allstate home insurance florida
Florida Home Insurance Companies track records …. HELP?
I'm shopping around for a new insurance company and the owners of housing policy have come up with offers of Compain never heard of as the north of the Capitol and Universal Property. How can I find some type of information about companies before buying my insurance from them? Im currently with Allstate and the price rose 150% !!!!!! in one year. Thanks
Normally, there check with your state insurance department for complaints, and would check its financial strength rating at www.ambest.com. I just saw these two for you. This is what I found – there is no insurance company called Capitol North, or Northern Capital. Universal Property is not nominal, and tried to cancel all the FL of their policies, but the state made them drink again. They are a company without qualification. No way, no way, I would buy a "policy" either company. I promise that, if Allstate will never return until something radically changes the insurance market in FL. I would have strong suspicians if there is a big demand, north of the Capitol will be insolvent and universal property right behind them – and good luck to you, charging her $ 100,000 in hurricane damage. You will be in line with all other creditors. I know you will not hear. . . but pay the premium for Allstate. These small fly by night companies that are popping up all over the place, and closing with the same speed. 150% is not really "that" bad for the Florida market. Expect rates to double next year due to recent insurance legislation FL. It's a horrible situation, I know. But if you have an offer from an "A" rated or rather admitted company, do not move.
