I recently switched car insurance to find a better offer on a comparison site (saving £ 255 compared with Aviva) bought another car and was surprised to find Aviva offers the lowest bidder, so sure with them! I recently received a letter from them saying they wanted to see proof of 5 years no claims bonus and I told them that our car insured for 5 years and have proof in your system! Oh, that does not count as used the discount 5 years in the other car! (new insurance) Q: If you have 5 years no claims bonus (no accidents or claims) are only allowed to use on 1 car?
Yes – It is the policy (and not the person) that accumulates the no-claims-bonus. 2 cars – 2 of policies – that each individual earns his no-claims-bonus. Incidentally, I have been with NU for four years and found them very competitive.
