Rental Days How is it calculated?
The days rental charge for the calendar day versus 24-hour periods that is how the car hire charges. So if you are a mobile home at 9 am on July 16 and leave at 9 am on July 30, it is considered that in 15 days. With a rental car, however, would be 14 days.
Is there a period Minimum rental?
Yes, usually between 5-10 days depending on the supplier. Sometimes the rental period will be higher during holidays school, special events, etc.
What is included in the rental price?
This varies by provider, but in general, Standard rates include vehicle insurance, GST, unlimited mileage, 24 hour roadside assistance, some living / kitchen / sleeping bags and packages with maps. Included is also available.
What is not included in the rates?
Again, this varies by vendor, but in general is too much form and additional insurance. Due to its remote location, there is often a fee for picking up or dropping in Broome. There are also available as an accessory Optional excess reduction tables and chairs, GPS units, satellite phones and first aid kits. Prices and options vary by provider.
What are the rates of Flex?
Flex rates are based on a simple system of supply and demand. If a large number of vehicles available for rent on a given day, at a given location, the rate is lower and vice versa. Booking early is recommended to get a good deal.
Will I need a credit card to collect my motorhome?
Credit cards are normally used for security deposit, but some rental companies (like Kea and Auto Rental Hertz) accept cash deposits. Check when booking.
How much is the security deposit?
The amount depends on the chosen insurance cover, but varies between AUD250-7500. If a security deposit is required the total bail amount will be deducted from Your credit card and paid again at the end of the lease term, subject to deductions. To avoid disappointment make sure your credit card have sufficient time to cover this amount.
Where can I collect my motorhome?
Driveaway Holidays have motorhomes available to gather in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome, Cairns, Darwin, Hobart, Launceston, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. (Please note not all providers can be represented in these cities).
Where can I camp with my motorhome?
You can stay in holiday parks or camping at a cost lower. These often have a kitchen and bathroom facilities and play areas at times, play areas and access to power. Check out the Caravan and Camping Australia for details. You can also stay in a national park or reserve. There is also the option of free camping. Each state has different rules about where this permit check with the appropriate tourism authority before leaving.
Are there restrictions on where I can drive the camper?

Is there a cancellation fee if I cancel the camper?
Yes, all companies have a policy of motorhomes cancellation fees. Click target = "blank"> here for details. Driveaway Holidays will request a deposit and / or full payment to the reservation with the company motor home where the reservation is within the cancellation period.
