car insurance federal law

Is it legal for a public company to set age restrictions on the products they sell (except CIGS, and alcohol)?
If one wanted to rent a rental car, is it legal for the company to the customer to be more secure if they are under 25 years, or is that age discrimination? (Are there any federal, state or local level that could relate to me?)
this has been happening for years. Yes, it is legal. There is no way around it. Most Car rental companies do not rent to people under 25 years due to insurance claims are skyrocketing in accidents. Why a car loan someone who is prone to accidents. That is something I totally agree. If they did hire a younger .. instead of rent to be $ 20-25 a day .. one days would be $ 100-150 .. What do you prefer?
