buying a car … Need help?
I and my family are new to Toronto, Canada. It's been two years since we got here. My mom works in a cheap shop and dad is a part-time professor at Centennial College. Being part time, do not get paid much, about $ 600/mo and mom 1000/mo ago and have two more Bros (13). and I (Grade 12) working at McDonalds for about $ 300/mo. so you can see that our situation Financial is very poor. Well, now I think buying a car has become very necessary for us. For different reasons, it is very difficult to live without a car especially in winter. So is there any chance that we can help Ontario Govt putting low tax and insurance on the car. We have the money to buy the car, but taxes and insurance are the main problem they face. if so how and what to do to lower taxes or govt can take the help of social services? plz any help appreciated. thanks .. advance
The government will not lower the taxes on your car, sorry. They can not really do much to help the situation. Insurance coverage is more than you and your company to anyone or anything. You can pay for the least expensive option, but if you get in an accident can be completely screwed. The best option is to take the budget and eliminate from it the cost of insurance and taxes. If that leaves you with an almost nonexistent budget, then you need to save up for a while. The cars never are cheap and need to be planned with money back in case something goes wrong. In situations like yours, arrangements should be made not only for the cost of the vehicle, but for all maintenance and costs involved.
