car insurance toronto
Moving to Canada, but I buy a car in the U.S. before I go?

I am planning to move to Toronto, Canada in the next couple of months, and wants to buy a used Lexus RX300 SUV to carry with me. Questions: 1) Will I run into any tax or problems with the car specs bring the car in Canada? 2) What car insurance company should I look? 3) Is it prudent to buy the car in the U.S.? Or should I buy the car in Canada?

1) Yes, you can have problems. Taxes possible, but probably quite low. But what their problems might be is if your vehicle meets Canadian standards. Normally you can get these things fixed (change) to> $ 1000. 2) Shop around. Like the U.S., will depend on where you live, how old they are, etc. Some Companies offer lower rates than others. 3) YES. I mean, look at some cars in the U.S., look at them in Canada and compare prices, but in general U.S. prices are much lower than those in Canada. You can take a broad look at this thread in a forum that talks exactly what you're trying to do!
