05 of julio 2009 the State of Wisconsin experienced the largest structure fire in the history of States. A citizen military launched a flare near the Patrick Cudahy plant in southeastern Milwaukee County. The result was a nightmare.
Patrick Cudahy plant caught fire and burned as if they never go away. People within a radius of 1 mile of the fire were evacuated as a precaution because the flames were approaching the area of the plant that had storage tanks of chemicals. Fire departments from surrounding area came to help fight the fire and police completely different counties were called during the evacuation to help patrol the streets and diversion of criminal activity during the emergency.
Took some time but the arrest was finally made in this horrible case.
This incident affected the jobs of thousands of people working for Patrick Cudahy. Many hours were lost, like others who were not out of work had to attend to matters at hand … clean and put the company together.
The cost of this fire is unthinkable. The property that was lost. The large number of people without jobs. The way the incident had emergency responses throughout the south-east Wisconsin. Then the huge success of the insurance industry was because of this incident.
Wisconsin has some strict laws of fireworks. No zone gray in these laws, which are very clear.
This is an incident that prompted me to enter a local hospital and an explanation of the doctors of the dangers with fireworks for personal use.
The doctor I spoke with said, "I wish people would not use fireworks. Besides the loss irreversible hearing and vision, damage to the meat may occur that require stitches. Burns can occur very easily. In some cases the fingers be missed, especially by young people with small hands.
Two days after talking to that doctor, I met a local firefighter of the check-out line at a gas station. I asked how he felt about the personal use of fireworks. His response: "I would not. All this is not reliable. That's one reason why it is illegal. They are not sure at all. You might have hit something too soon that could hurt you, or something like that could launch into an area where not want to go. If a zoom something in a house, garage or even a car that has a gas leak could have big problems. But mess with her. "
