Vehicle insurance (also known as auto insurance, car insurance, or insurance car) insurance is buying cars, trucks and other vehicles. Its main use is to provide protection against losses incurred as result of traffic accidents and liability that could be incurred in an accident.

In Queensland, CTP is a required part of a vehicle registration. It is the choice of the insurer, but the price is controlled by the Government in a narrow range.

Canada

Basic auto insurance is mandatory through Canada with the government of each province to determine what benefits are included as minimum required auto insurance coverage and benefits are available options for those looking for more coverage. Employment accident coverage is mandatory everywhere except in Newfoundland and Labrador. All provinces in Canada have some form no-fault insurance "available to accident victims.
