home insurance let property
What is the correct way to deal with its neighbors when it comes to putting a new fence when it is shared ownership?

I have neighbors on both sides, and two in back, so that residents of FOUR, I live in California and my home insurance says I need to install a new fence in 90 days. Do I have to let my neighbors know? Do they have to share the cost? What if one of the neighbors is a bank owned property? Does anyone have any experience with this? Please help! Thank you!

While the fence is his property and does not violate any restrictive covenants in your neighborhood (if you have covenants) is right. Check with your local zoning department also about the height restrictions and types of material (if any). Just talked to your neighbors, tell them what kind of wall who want to build and that you are taking the property line located. You really need to make sure you know where that line and are marked with a string or a game by an inspector. I do not share the cost with the neighboring fence if you can help. That tends to be susceptible to what I've seen before. People like to change your mind and say "hey, I paid half of what I want to move the fence here." The bank owned property does not matter, provided they are not taking over it. To bring that about at least one foot inside the line if you can too, just to be sure. Someone said 3 inches! Wow, that is near.
