Which is better? Socialized health care or socialized bailouts?
Socialized health care means higher taxes. Everyone question, even if they lose their jobs. No more losing your house or saving lives because of medical expenses. For nonprofit insurance companies profit is no longer decide what is best for you (ie cheaper for them). Socialized bailouts say higher taxes. No benefit to anyone, except to Wall Street banks and their executives. The money is lost in space – no accountability for where the money went. Higher fees for banking. Why some privately owned companies rescued, while others are not?
Police, Fire, Public Schools, Welfare, Medicare …. These are just some of what is already "socialized" in the U.S. I'm sure someone could extend this list a bit.
