home owners insurance north carolina

North Carolina – no matter of policy owners?
I'm an international student going to college in North Carolina. I do not have a car, but in the state of North Carolina that needed liability insurance to take the driving test. My insurance quote was 6 months from $ 931 I was a new pilot and told me to pass each year. I paid the equivalent of an insurance year that I think is just the missing money. Now my co – sure I am asked if I renew my policy. I leave the U.S. for 3 months from May to August to return home for a while and not think it makes sense to pay for insurance, when I have no car and I'm not even in the U.S. during that period. I do not want to renew my insurance, but my question is will I get my license suspended or revoked? It makes sense to pay so much if I had a car but do not own a car. Any advice will help!
Obtaining portal Carolina Department of Transportation North, and can confirm that it does not need this coverage. Do not request this kind of advice on the Internet.
