home insurance is a complete scam?
my former agent admitted that it was useless as insurance and explained that I was buying it, because my bank forced me to do so. I could not explain why he told me this when I bought the insurance.
It is a scam. It's hard to know what your agent was thinking when he or she said. The insurance company is obligated to pay for damage to your property caused by any number of things, such as fire, wind, ice or snow. Depending on where you live, the damage caused by certain things can not be covered, such as hurricanes, earthquakes and floods. The lender requires insurance to protect your investment at home.
