Water Leak Under My Slab in Garage – HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE?
Hello, I think I have a small water leak under my table in the garage of my house. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them. 1. Homeowners Insurance Does this (or any part thereof), 2. How much have a type leak detector leak out and check? 3. How much to have someone jackhammer up the slab and the repair of copper tubing? I very handy with tools and can fix a lot of things. . but I have no idea how to find the leak. . . if I could get into the stadium area and dig me patch myself. Any help would be great. . . otherwise it will break down and make calls in the morning .. Thanks, Randy
He had the same problem in the garage. hot water pipe leaked. turn hot water heater full wait an hour to sit on the floor to the hottest place. chisel and a small sledge star the hole will need about 12 inches around. shut off the water and cut the tube on each side of the leak and solder in a new section. fill the hole with soil and the patch with a mixture of cement. insurance will pay for the mixture. I do not know how to find a cold water, drain. Hope this helps
