homeowners insurance claims adjuster
Home insurance gave me a check, but we all work completed. Do I have to pay again?
An adjuster gave me an estimate over the phone after damage and mailed a check right away, saying something to the effect that I know best what they use it. The damage we had repaired came to about $ 8000 and ended our policy only to cover $ 1300. I cashed the check for $ 1,300 to pay the contractor, but not end up needing some of work adjuster thought I would need (rain damage). Online says that the claim is "closed". Are they going to ask for receipts?
You will be asked for proof that work is completed before you can get any extras. But it appears that the supplements are not required. All rot followed because the contractor was not complete, however, will not be covered.
