Bankruptcy and homeowners insurance lapse ….?
Going through bankruptcy. My question is due to a fire in the house. No mention was made to our insurance company yet, and has been 5 months now. we were told to report immediately, but I was not sure whether you have insurance. They could not pay insurance. Therefore, 2 years ago my company sent me paperwork to sign up for loan insurance that is needed if no evidence is provided insurance for them. After this time, do you still probably have insurance through my insurance company? and what impact would I face for taking so long to inform? THX Adreamer2
YOU do not have insurance through your mortgage lender. That "forced placement" coverage only covers Neither you nor your stuff. Likely to still have coverage. But they're not going to set up housekeeping with her – I'll put against the mortgage.
