Rottweilers and Homeowner's Insurance?

My husband and I are thinking about adopting a Rott / Lab mix from the Humane Society. Without But since that is Rott, the lady at the Humane Society said it would have to consult with our homeowner's insurance to see if it will assuring us if we come to it. I called Geico (who passed) and they said they can not tell me before you get the dog, but in reality it would have to reach, call them to let them know, and then decide if you can keep using them. She has no history of biting (that we know), we will not use it as an attack dog, and operated as not used for breeding. I am a little worried about getting your B / C have insurance is so important, and if we get there and decide to drop we do not think I would have the heart to give it up once it became part of our family. But I wonder if the fact that she is 3 months old and she also help the laboratory. Does anyone have any suggestions or think you might be okay?

The response I got from Geico, it makes no sense. I call back and ask to speak with a manager. I think you spoke to someone who does not know the answer, so they made one. They know that if they insure people with dogs and I'm sure they have a list of breeds that are not acceptable. It is difficult to obtain homeowner's insurance if you own any of a number of races and is one of Rotties they. Each year there are fewer companies that take clients with these breeds. I do not know about mixed races however. I think that saying it's a lab mix would be the best bet. Now, if you do not know for sure this is part Rottie puppy. Shelters do their best estimate, but it remains a conjecture. I ask the Humane Society about how they can be so sure this is part Rottie puppy? Are garbage coming to the mother? If not, and this is a puppy, do not know. They know that the laboratory is good. It's all a guessing game. It is unlikely that the puppy is only 2 races for one thing.
