What kind of insurance in case of an owner-builder to perform during the course of construction?
Our family is building a second home. We have a general contractor who is putting up the deposit. However, we do all the interior and exterior finish ourselves. We have tried obtain insurance a homeowner, but not cover us until we get home, finally. We are looking for the coverage for the cost of the structure and liability insurance civil. What kind of policy should we be looking for and what type of insurance brokers must be in touch with us?
Course of Construction (COC) policies. Also called builders risk, but usually Builders risk is used for commercial construction. I know farmers Ins. COC sells for a very low premium.
