Conversion Cobra Insurance?
I currently have a plan for COBRA health insurance through HAP. This is going to end because my employer is leaving the country and end the policy. I understand that will be eligible for a "conversion" policy through HAP. Does anyone know about these policies? How much … What is covered?
Still must offer COBRA to continue your current benefits, even though it is transferred. Its coverage should be the same, but you have to do in their rates. Some companies will perform a co-pay style with COBRA insurance in the same way they would with regular insurance if you worked for them. If your company did, do not be surprised if your insurance suddenly jumps a lot. PAHs should send the rate to have enough time to decide, but you may want to shop around for other insurance. If you do not have health conditions you are being treated for, then you may be better change its policy, since their prices can sky rocket if recovery was not a co-payment.
