What American car brand is best?

I am looking to buy a used car that cost 12 thousand or less (U.S. dollars). American cars cheaper to insure in the U.S. which is important because I have not had my license for a long time (about 2 months). I know that the marks Japanese are leaders in this moment, but really can not afford one of those moments. Insurance is higher because they are more likely to be stolen, spare parts are expensive, and live in New York. I will not buy a car that is over 4 years old. I'm also looking to buy some of the Jeep brand SUV. Does anyone have any experience with the Jeep line of vehicles? Thanks in advance. I'm looking for cars too. Please include suggestions.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Jeep has really gone in the tank from the Daimler-Chrysler took over. Furthermore, this whole idea of Japanese brands are better than American cars is a thing of the past. Now, Ford and General Motors are kicking the absolute garbage the Japanese in terms of audience on reliability, and last year more vehicles Toyota recalled that the Big Three combined. American cars are now as good as their Japanese counterparts, but do not hear that the review of Consumer Reports or the media. Let's: Do you buy a car that is no more than four years old, you will not pay more than $ 12,000.00, and you are looking for in an SUV? Their expectations are not very realistic. A decent SUV will cost between U.S. $ 25,000.00 and $ 35,000.00 brand new right now, and any vehicle that depreciates over half of its value in the first four years will not be reliable. Furthermore, SUVs are very expensive to insure, very expensive to put gas in because they are eaters, and very expensive hold. For what you are looking to pay, it would be prudent to consider a car unless you have a very good reason to go the SUV route (eg, go camping much or you need something to pull a boat or a trailer). And no, having a family is not a good reason to buy a sport utility – it is better to get a crossover vehicle or a minivan in terms of reliability, fuel efficiency and maintenance costs. Ford cars for several reliable good, solid, Buick has been receiving top marks of quality and reliability for over a decade, and Pontiac has at least one car that has been in the European consumers "Best Buy" List years (Grand Prix). BOTTOM LINE: I would advise you against a jeep because they are not as good as they used to be. If you live in New York, think of the reliability, fuel economy, and size (he wants to ensure that it will fit in tight spaces in New York on parking). Thinking seriously about a car instead of an SUV – An SUV will cost more in the long run.
