insurance bonds

Is there any insurance or bond requirements for electrical contractors?
Is there any insurance or bond requirements for electrical contractors own in order to sell home warranty or service plan in the state of Georgia?
I will try to answer this question for you, although I am 100% sure what you are asking. I guess I will sell a warranty or service plan and I want so you do repairs covered by insurance. General Liability, as long as you have in place, covers for "damage" caused by the defective work, however, will not pay for repairs to "work" ie wiring that you did. Insurers who write general liability are very wary of contractors who offer guarantees over a year in time, so be careful with this. There are insurance policies available to cover repairs to "work" that is something that ome of his unfortunately pocket. Beyond General Liability, as an electrical contractor should carry workers' compensation, equpment / coverage of tools, Auto and Umbrella policy. Good luck to you and I hope that helped answer some of your questions.
