insurance company trends

What insurance companies are still unemployed and / or second home?
This seems to be a new trend. It appears that companies cancel insurance policies owned customers who are selling their houses! Once the client has to move into their new home of the insurance company canceled the policy on the home still for sale. This is made even if the client has been a customer for over 30 years and is using that company to the new home! The sellers are having a hard enough time with the housing market these days! What can be done about this? Assume further that the seller decides not to sell, but keep the home as a vacation spot? Are second homes uninsured too?
There is a new trend and second homes are well. The problem is when the house becomes vacant furniture (or not enough in him to be there). That's when the policy is canceled homeowners (or nonrenewable), because the home no longer qualifies for a policy. Besides, I have no business to have a home on the market. Rewriting policies provide guidelines business, because it is a new policy. That has always been a problem for us underwiriting (for the 18 years I have been in the business). Nothing has changed there. The market All I have is therefore Surplus Lines (some states have a homeowner fair plan). I tell my insured, do not let go to the empty house, make sure have enough furniture, dishes, linens, etc. to stay there and stay there at least once a month. It is better for the house too, especially in winter. This is considered a second home and can remain in a homeowners policy. It is easier to sell a house that is well furnished one that is vacant anyway. Any realtor will tell you. In addition, some of my policyholders decide to rent the house and then it is also generally well (provided and when there are other issues that the company did not Wirte), just change the policy to a dwelling fire or homeowners policy – again, the new guidelines, but much easier than a vacant house that is on sale. ** Unless FL then …. is TOTALLY different
