Can a LTD insurance company sue me for overpayments made to my mother before she died?
My mom died 3 years ago. She received LTD monthly benefits before his death and had applied for social security benefits before his death. They heard the case 1.5 years after his death. He was awarded benefits retroactive to the date of termination of employment for the day he died which was 3 years. If the LTD insurance paid most of what is secutiry awarded monthly Social and receipt the amount allocated to it, the insurance company can do anything LTD for me to get that money? Is there a statue of limitations? That Social Security has issued the check to me if the money was due to LTD company? Please help, this could change my life or ruin it if I the wrong decision.
