insurance hit parked car
Someone hit my car while it was parked … make sure your payment of damages ALL?

My car was parked and the person a back up and hit her .. now there is this huge dent in the back. I have filed a police report and called my insurance company and stuff. Me wondering … Does your insurance company will pay all costs to repair the dent? And this has a negative effect on insurance rates for myself? If I already have their insurance information. Do I need to notify my own insurance company that a car hit my car?

Stay balanced. Assuming you has identified the part that hit his car, and they have accepted responsibility. They are 100% responsible for the accident and his insurance should pay 100% of the damages caused by this accident. They will not pay for prior damages, rust, or in some cases severely faded paint. You do not have to pay any deductible, to unless you choose to go through your own insurance carrier. Warning though, it's funny how history changes the other hand, after talking with his company insurance.
