Sync – make sure you sync your iPhone, since the 3.0 firmware will delete all data and applications on your phone. After the upgrade, can re-synchronize data and applications back to the Iphone.
Note: Apps added to Cydia or Installer need to be reinstalled manually.

Download – You need the following
ITunes 8.2
IPhone Firmware V3.0 (download via iTunes 8.2)
redsn0w (available in blog.iphone-dev.org)

Install – You are prompted to install the V3.0 update, click update and wait until the process is complete.

While waiting, install redsn0w (3.0 leak) by extracting redsn0w-win_0.7 to C: \

Jailbreak – Once your phone has been updated, it is time that the Jailbreak. Locate the 3.0 firmware update, updates are stored in C: \ Documents and Settings \ User \ Application Data \ Apple Computer \ iTunes \ IPhone Software Updates. Copy the file in c: \ redsn0w-win_0.7 \
Take the firmware file and put it in redsn0w.exe
Check boxes to install Cydia and ice cream.
Wait for a message saying to come please contact your iPhone into DFU mode. Then connect your iPhone to your computer if not already done so, and hold key
Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds. (If the screen is the apple that has gone too far)
Then release the power but keep holding the Start button. Wait at least 30 seconds or until it is reconnected to the computer.
Go to Command Prompt window (from the Start menu, select Run and type cmd and and press Enter.) When the command window appears, press ENTER.

Unlock – now that it has updated the firmware and jailbroken your phone, it's time for the release.
Run Cydia or frost
repo666.ultrasn0w.com add the repo to cydia or frost
Search for 'ultrasn0w in Cydia or ice and install, then restart the Iphone.

Final Steps – Now that the iPhone is updated, jailbreak and unlocked, is the resynchronization time the phone to iTunes. You may want to check the sync options in iTunes to ensure their applications and synchronize data way you want.
After synchronization of your data and applications back to the iPhone, App Store application check for updates, as many applications have been updated to work with 3.0.
If you have any application in Cydia, you can re-install using Cydia or with ice.
