The costs of buying a used car?
So I am almost 17 my birthday and I'm getting driving lessons after passing the exam I am planning to buy a used car. But I have no idea about the cost of owning a car .. Such as taxes, insurance or how they are paid or anything! any help would be very useful, thanks!
The real car payment is only part of the total cost of operating a vehicle. If you are in a state that taxes cars a year, like we have here in Georgia, the tax is based on the value of the car. The most recent car, the more taxes you pay. Insurance can run several thousand dollars per year for a young and inexperienced driver. Everything depends on the vehicle you own and the city where we live there are also expenses maintenance and fuel costs of course. Maintenance can be anything from a simple oil change 4 times a year to new tires, brushes wipers, hoses and belts all the way to mechanical failure of major components such as the C / A, brakes, transmission and electrical system. If you can afford it you need to pay cash for all these expenses. If you must get a loan to buy the car, be sure to use a small bank of good reputation or credit union for financing. THE ONLY THING you must use the loan for the actual cost of the car. OJ Finance not things like registration and the label taxes or insurance. These costs are always in your pocket.
