How to close the gap in an "outside the network of health insurance claim?
I was surprised to see my insurance company only willing to refund the 25% rate of a magnetic resonance outside the network installation. Calling a network installation, I found with which they charge a similar amount and take 75% off. I am shocked that the insurance companies and doctors in the network are in practice to set these guidelines. I had the impression that for a PPO, you have an option to leave the network and play a bit more … 4x not any suggestions? Am I sunk or I should appeal to the insurance or hospital? thanks!
Well, you have the option of leaving the network, but certainly not "slightly" more. You're sunk. If you deliberately went out of network, you'll have to pay the balance.
