OUTSOURCING blood tests and other pathologies WORK?
Can anyone in the U.S. blood test outsourced to other countries? Companies insurance will love it. Chepe Lot!
I believe both answers are correct. There is some evidence (such as a chemical 7,8, or 12) that could be sent to another country, simply because they need to be run in 3 hours or less. If not the levels of sodium and potassium will increase and decrease the glucose levels (including spin down samples). CBC could execute an instrument after a few days, however if you look under a microscope many of the jagged red blood cells. Coagulation studies (such as aPTT) must be made within a couple of hours, no matter what or degraded. Not many other tests that can be sent, however. Examples would be fecal occult blood, many cultures, sickle cells, some biopsies, etc. Yes, probably would be cheaper But if regulatory control in other countries is not applied in the U.S., I question the laboratories send results back. Most machines in the laboratories U.S. now be tested at least every 8 hours to ensure the results they give are accurate. I would also like to mention that many hospitals are needed to keep their labs for emergency services and hospital departments. Drug monitoring should be in place.
