How do I find the best insurance company?
I am looking for a health insurance plan long term for myself. I compared the rates in all major suppliers and they are all roughly the same price range. The problem is that each has hundreds of complaints about them on the web, and many have at least some kind of lawsuit against them. I realize that is the nature of the beast. But my biggest fear is the complaint that do not pay the bills for the people, resulting in thousands of dollars in bills. Are there any consumer reports that the list of the best in general? I'm leaning toward Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee.
First, have to realize that just because there is a "complaint" does not mean it's a legitimate complaint. Could be, but it could also mean that someone thought he should pay for something that was not covered in the first place. People complain and file lawsuits all the time. That does not mean they are right or they will win. You doing the right thing even in the control of insurance companies in advance. Know what you are buying. AM Best rates insurance companies.
