British Virgin Islands

Am I crazy or have a cash flow problem. Yes, have fallen in love.

King is a very unrealistic love, because she has taken my money so many times, and made me a kind of poverty-stricken sailor

Fairwind His name is not a human being of women, but a sailboat.

I bought her a yacht as a hurricane damage in Grenada after Hurricane Ivan hit the island, and the insurance company that you bought was only interested in getting rid of her at any price, because there were thousands of boats damaged

So was all alone, with two masts broken and a hole in the keel that had sunk nearby, but flooded the ship and committed damage.

It was sold to me at a bargain price for this star Gulf 55ft classic yacht.

She is a yacht with rich bass lines and a full keel heavy displacement, and after the first questions I was happy with My Cart

After my previous 25-foot yacht that had a car built in England and sailed to the Caribbean, which was a luxury.

I promised repairs and renovation of Fairwind for a period of four months. Replacement of almost all electric pumps and the revision of the engine. Repairing masts and the replacement of much of the stainless steel trowel and repair of the keel and hull damage.

I had flown Grenada of the British Virgin Islands to join a friend who is a contractor's rescue boat. I offered my services free for a few weeks and it is this Fairwind negotiation ..

My plan was that the ship in good condition and will sail back to the British Virgin Islands, where | I had established myself and then advertising for companies and yacht charter .. Gulfstars originally purchased in the seventies for mooring yachts, but out of favor for the more accommodation cabin yachts as benetu. But I was not intimidated by the time couples have two on my yacht would be sufficient, in the two large cabins with showers and toilets on site.

I had worked before buying Fairwind for many yacht charter companies in Tortola British Virgin Islands as a freelance and now know the island very well.

I am a friendly disposition of a useful and enjoy my lifestyle.

I entered in the Charter of Fairwind Yacht Show British Virgin Islands, and was disappointed that officers yachts yacht market many thought my date and I was of the opinion that cats prefer to made more commission charter Mona helmets.

I managed to get business at first, and also to my letter freelance work managed to keep busy.

Last December Come to my good friend Michael Bean an artist and musician who plays regularly at Marina Cay, a small spa small on a small island, he asked if I would deliver to the Haitian island of La Vache a batch of ten outboard motors, food and cloths for school children from a small fishing village to the familys

I was at first reluctant to volunteer however, after discovering it was the founder of his charity called Good Samaritan Foundation, I agreed to deliver them to come on 12 Decenber, then set sail. I had many mishaps on the trip and to date the whole adventure has cost me dearly with a dirty engine and not lost outboard motor. However, I have really nothing to regret, as I offered and accepted.and it was for a good cause.

Leaving the British Virgin Islands buitifull behind me during the Christmas period was disappointing as I have many friends and I would like Christmas to them.

However, I embarked on an exciting adventure. My team and I came to Eve and spend Christmas giving gifts to poor villagers was like father xmas.

La Vache is so far behind I was amazed. No running water hand pumps only water, no electricity. Vechicles no roads or on the island. Horses are no way to escape the island. The fishermen who own boats there, and primitive sail corvettes. Gobal warming due to fish have deserted the warmer waters near the coast and fishermen need outboard engines to return against the wind to discharge the catch before the fish off.

I stayed on the island for ten days and due to have an engine failure Fairwind, who needed to reach and get the boat yard towed ashore to repair the engine. So I decided to sail downwind to Jamaica.
