unemployment insurance in California?
I worked at a large software company in the Bay Area (Northern California). this is my first job since I graduated from college. I can get a severance package, but we have no details yet. If I accept the severance package, you still I am authorized to sign for unemployment (EDD)? Also, I own a small business that does not really bring any benefit. Does this have any effect in all this? Oh, I forgot to mention that just got laid off yesterday. 
yes you can if you got fired. You can go online now and archives EDD online.
