insurance ticket

Do I have to pay a no insurance ticket if someone hit my car while it was parked?
My car was parked outside my house when someone hit. I had no insurance and a ticket for that at the top of my car is broken. Do I pay the ticket or is it something that could fight the courts and say that I had been driving the car since canceling my insurance?
If your vehicle was driven or parked on public roads, must have insurance coverage. Unless that was parked in the garage or on the property you own, and the person who reached the spot to hit, you have to not to pay the insurance bill.
