Need help with my letter of appeal my financial aid?
It would be helpful if someone could give me some guidelines, tips, and format for financial aid appeal letter. Here is the reason for the appeal in February 2009, my mother has been unemployed due to poor conditions economic. Since then, she has been receiving unemployment insurance award (EDD). Meanwhile, my father is the family support. Compare with last year, earns much less than previous years – thanks to the cheapest. As for my sister, she is in nursing school right now, trying to keep itself. She has a part-time job just to support herself through school and their daily expenses. As for me, I am a second year at UC Davis. Since my parents are in financial difficulty, can not even pay any extra money to support me. I tried to get a summer job this year, but no seems to be interested in hiring a degree that will close in late September
You can try to attract, just write a letter explaining the situation, but that does not mean that until their financial aid. (I have to go to college with zero financial support from my parents, although not broken. Also, could not find a summer job, but in the end, I still have to live with my situation.) Other options, 1) do not take your car unless you live in the home, 2) do not receive a meal plan, 3) buy textbooks online and sell their old online, not on campus, 4) have fewer classes, 5) work while attending school!
