A trade association representing the maintenance of UK construction sector has produced a guide for their training courses.
For the first time, the Property Care Association (PCA) – which incorporates the preservation of wood and waterproofed British Association (BWPDA) – has launched a booklet training.
The move comes as more and more property professionals seek to enhance their practical knowledge of the issues property care.
On behalf of moisture, the preservation of evidence of wood, maintaining the structure, waterproofing structural and flood remediation industries – the Association has an extensive training program. It is also recognized for its technical expertise — which includes a panel of experts capable of dealing with complex questions.
Training can often be delivered in their own installations customers as an alternative to travel to a designated facility.
Yasmin Chopin, director of the PCA, which is based in Huntingdon, said: "Our new training brochure provides a comprehensive view of the full range of the formation of the Association offers.
"One need not be a member of the ACC to access all of our courses and our tracking research shows that training is valued by a number of professionals such as architects, professional construction, surveyors, facilities managers, social housing property managers and agents.

The Property Care Association (PCA) has been in existence for four years as part of the British Wood Preservation Association and waterproof (BWPDA), but in 2006 it became officially an independent association, along with the Association for Protection of wood.
PCA contractors are authorized to use the new logo Association, and this can be seen in such directories like the Yellow Pages, newspapers and other publications to identify potential customers.
Although relatively new trade body, the Association of Property Care has inherited the stability and professional aspects of BWPDA and its 75 year history.
This includes choosing a long term FSA regulated specialist insurance policies, and a list of all the UK members of the contractor which are carefully selected prior to obtaining membership – and then are subjected to rigorous auditing procedures once admitted to the Association.
