life insurance blood test cancer

Health insurance is vital when it comes to cancer treatment. This disease threatening life is often diagnosed in its later stages and needs intense treatment to save a life. We all know that the NHS is stretched to its limits and so people are more often turned to private medical insurance protected in the event of a major health problem. They want to know if your family or contract a disease or diseases that may benefit from any research care has been made in recent years and benefits can be felt immediately and not at the end of a waiting list.

Because cancer is one of the deadliest in the United Kingdom and can sometimes be difficult to detect, constant research is conducted in the early detection, as well as hints and tips prevention and better, less invasive treatment that can be done either through the NHS or with the help of health insurance.

It has long been known that cancer treatments are tough end take a toll on the body, which weakens the patient's immune system and opening to other possible infections. This is the best hope of beating the disease generally used forms of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but it is almost impossible with conventional methods to address this treatment in specific tumors. Typically, this treatment also destroy the surrounding tissue and this is what causes the problem. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy used with a good balance of knowing when the patient is in the strongest on strike with the treatment and then allow some time for recovery.

As with many things, the results are always more effective when it is a problem from within. To this end, the Journal Email reports on new research in a very efficient way to stimulate the body's immune system to fight cancer. Blinatumomab * is a new drug being tested that uses the power of immunity of cells to reduce or eliminate cancerous tumors and is expected to be widely available in the next five years.

So far, the tests have been carried out on people with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, but the results are so promising that further development is expected to lead to many other types of cancer being treated. Already, the drug is being tested in patients with aggressive blood cancers.

The new drug has the ability to fight cancer and white blood cells of the blood adhere to the tumor, releasing a poison that destroys the tumor. The body is adequately supplied with white blood cells to fight disease and usually do a good job. However, in the case of cancer, white blood cells are often overwhelmed to the point where they become ineffective.

This is exactly what is expected to exceed the new drug – using the defense mechanism to destroy the body's own cancer cells from within, without invasive treatment. The drug effectively activates white blood cells continue doing his thing until you have beaten the tumor.

The research results have caught the attention Professor Peter Johnson, chief medical officer at Cancer Research UK and is excited about the prospects for patients. Monitoring and further research is necessary, but so far, this is the most promising potential.

* Most insurance companies do not pay for drugs that have not obtained a license from the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) or those who are currently in testing, however, have easier access to new medicines approved by the EMA based on individual needs.
