Renter's insurance in Edmonton, Canada?
I am looking for renters insurance in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and since they never had to deal with which I am at a complete loss as to who would be best to look. I have a modest 2 bedroom apartment which is very interesting in terms of number of collectors' items I have (I lost count of how many Bradford Exchange plates I have, lol, besides collecting Barbies, bought some already in 1999), plus equipment and my cochlear implant team …. so it is understandable I am looking for insurance, especially in a building that was rumored to have been built in the 1950s. Can anyone living in Canada or Edmonton, Alberta, for that matter, recommend a good company? Especially one that is not too finiky on credit ratings (mine seriously aspires to a student loan because of age that disappeared, ie passed from one agency to another until they no longer know where hell that is).
It depends on how they want to proceed. Your best bet is to speak with several brokers and discuss your needs with them. Take a look at the Pages Yellow or see if any of your relatives / friends may recommend someone. Racers make their purchases among several companies for you and have a broad knowledge. Most major banks selling insurance, as well, and you may be able to get a quote online. However, agents who talk with (if you talk to anyone at all if you do it online) only sells the bank, and have knowledge of bank products and may or may not be able to answer more questions in character general. You may want to keep out of this route to be better informed. Consider your deductible is likely to be $ 500, so you may want to discuss the programming of his collection more valuable. This will cost more, but the coverage is broader, rather the deduction does not apply, or lower deductible will apply.
