life insurance thc
Life insurance, health privacy test?
I recently applied for life insurance provided by my employer. This will require me to have a physical examination including a urine test and blood test. The problem is my employer has a policy of zero tolerance to drugs and have been a regular smoker of marijuana in the past 10. I've been clean for three weeks and should be avoided independence mobile browser that will come to my workplace or my home. Unfortunately its too late to cancel this as they are only open enrollment once a year and the application is pending. My question is if I test positive for THC, can the company insurance tell my employer that the reason he will not be assured that I tested positive? At this point I do not care if I'm insured, but do not want to lose my job of 15 years. Please can anyone with first hand experience to help with this?
Your employer can not make you buy life insurance. An insurance company can not do the medical examination. Just tell them to sign the insurance without medical examination and is likely to decline only you. You probably do not need an excuse but just tell them you do not want insurance if you have to take a test. Then when they return to their lower benefits provider and tell them you are not eligible. If you want a job at a company that has the right to drug test you. If you want insurance you have the right to drug test you. If you do not want insurance, then can not force you to act.
