property insurance claims advice

I'm looking for buildings insurance on a house I am buying.?
I worry about the issue that says if I made any claims in recent 5 years. I had insurance for houses since 1968, said only once in the 70s, when a chemical plant exploded. However, I buildings insurance had since September 2006 when he was in a flat in Torquay, where a service charge of insurance cover. Over the past 4 months I have lived in a property hired, again not paying insurance. So I can not honestly say I have been insured during the past 5 years. Will consider me as a new buyer? Is this fair? Do you have any advice on how I can tell you this? Thanks
No, it will be fine. The home insurance is not as susceptible as car nearlly insurance. It runs a report and know that you have not made any claims. Not even have the ability to track complaints in the 70s so no worry about it. The company did not really care that you have not had home insurance. Because it is less of a person who has a policy and more about the risk factor housing in general. Where, auto insurance is the engine that is making the car a risk when driving irrisponsibly. If an insurance company leaves you because the drive like an idiot then you will have a very difficult time getting new car insurance. But with no home there. People rarely claims home insurance and a lot of people rent instead of buy what is not a big deal that you have never had home insurance again.
