Help with car insurance for a rental car in Florida.?

My boyfriend is 20 years and we are looking to rent a car in Florida this year's vacation. We are in England because of his age and all car rental companies will not rent a car for us. We found a company that will rent cars to 20 years old, but the price does not include insurance, this should be taken separately. What we have to get insurance to legally drive the rental car in the Florida? We have heard of SLI, PDW, LDW and CDW, but we have no idea what they are, what they cover or if we need or insurance. Anyone with experience please help this. Please help if you can Thank You! We come from England and live here with full permission to drive the UK. Our current insurance providers do not cover us for driving abroad.
