Do I need a special insurance card from my insurance company to drive my car to Canada?
He Allstate Ins. and told me that I need specific card for travel in Canada. It's just your government? Do they ask this at the border? Does my U.S. insurance card appropriate?
The border could not care less your car insurance. Driving around and if I left you or has an accident, he asked to see his proof of insurance at home. If your insurance says you should have it, then I understand. Probably just collect dust during the trip.
