What is the best of Ireland / UK credit card to use abroad?

Hi I am a resident of Ireland in search of a card credit with a low rate of surcharge and cross-border management fees (US / EU / UK and India), purchase protection and decent travel insurance. April is important because I have no intention of using it as a loan. I have a good credit rating and salary, so gold / platinum, etc should be ok. Thanks and regards

This is easy. Get your credit card in the nation. They are the issuer of the UK only do not charge a fee for use your card abroad. Remember though that always pay in local currency and not in Sterling (otherwise a charge will attact DCC). Nationwide loses out money in transactions with the outside – they have to pay a conversion rate of 1% Visa! Most of its competitiors charge commission of 2.75%!
